Welcome to goltsynth.com!

Here you will find lots of information regarding the repair and restoration vintage synthesizers, especially the analogue synths from the mid 1970's to mid 1980's. They are all important pieces of history, and the sound of some in particular can not be recreated with modern techniques. I believe it is important that we keep these old synths going for as long as possible; so I will share all the information I have about their design and repair. I have many more videos planned and I will place them all on the Synth Repair page. I will also do my best to let you know what synths I am going to add next. This is also where you will find all you need to know about my eurorack sequencer project: Red Light District.

Synth Repair Video's

The third video in the Oberheim OB-X restoration series is up! There's also a KORG MS-20 video on the way.

Synth Resources

I've finally added a Synth Resources section! I will add the board files for my redesigns here. I've also started to adding scans of my original service manuals and schematics.

Contact

If you have a question about vintage synth repair, then it is best to contact me by commenting on a video on my YouTube channel www.youtube.com/c/GOLTSYNTH. That way other people can see the question and answer as well. This helps more than one person repair synth.

Otherwise you can use the old electronic mail system.

Me and the super rare EMS Synthi 100. Only three to five of these are reported to be in working condition in the world...
